One simple cheek swab. A complete genetic roadmap. Medication decisions backed by science, not guesswork.

What is pharmacogenetic testing?
At Kavah Wellness Psychiatry, we offer pharmacogenetic testing to help personalize psychotropic medication management. Pharmacogenetic is a non-invasive test that analyzes how genetic variations in your DNA may affect your response to over 60 FDA-approved psychiatric medications (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, ADHD medications and anxiolytics). This allows your provider to make more informed and personalized medication recommendations. The test must be ordered by a healthcare provider and can be done in-office or at home by cheek swab.

How it works
Three simple steps to clarity and better care.

Your provider orders the test in-office or at home.
A quick, non-invasive cheek swab — done right here in our office or shipped to your home. No needles, no hassle.

Your DNA Gets Analyzed
Your sample is sent to the GeneSight lab where scientists analyze how your genes interact with over 60 FDA-approved psychiatric medications.

We Build Your Care Plan
